I understand that you may still be busy drinking green beer and pretending that you’re Irish, this evening – but it is imperative that in the midst of your celebration you must put Landlady on your agenda.

Landlady is a rock band out of Brooklyn fronted by Adam Schatz of the experimental outfit Man Man.  If you’re at all familiar with the complex weirdness of Man Man, then you will be surprised by the restrained, classic rock feel of Landlady.  Schatz who as danced on the outer limits of strange with his previous project has decided to put on full display his grounding in the mainstream music world with the upcoming release of Landlady’s Upright Behavior.

Live performances have always been a strong point in the canon of Man Man, and it’s something that has carried over to Landlady, so you won’t want to miss this show.  The show is at Zanzabar tonight, 9 PM - $5.

    About Brent Owen

Born and raised in Louisville, I have lived here most of my life (except during a short furlough, when I, lovelorn and naive, followed a girl to Baton Rouge). My roots are here, my family, my friends, and my life are all here. I work primarily as a free-lance writer for a few local and regional publications. I have also written two books (one a memoir, the other a novel) that barring some divine intervention, will probably never see the light of day. I find myself deeply ingrained in the local bar scene, or perhaps better said, I often indulge in the local drinking culture. I love music, movies, comedy, and really just about any other live performance art.
