Napa Valley, Champagne, Alsace, and Kentucky? Believe it or not, Kentucky has an up and coming collection of wineries, not just the kind that make strawberry wine. You may wonder where you can taste any some of their products, and I have the answer for you - at any of Kentucky Wine Tastings' Events. Kentucky Wine Tastings is an organization that will provide a wine sampling bar for events, consisting entirely of Kentucky Proud wines. It's a fantastic way to not only try something new, but also to support local farmers.
Kentucky Wine Tastings will participate in a private tasting if you are hosting an event, or you can check out their event calendar on their website (www.kentuckywinetastings.com) for a list of their upcoming events. Thursday, September 23, they will be participating in the Grape Grains and Soul Festival (for more information, click here) and then they will be hosting two tastings during the F.A.T. Friday Trolley Hop - one at Margaret's Consignment and one at Crescent Hill Art Gallery.
The vineyards they feature include River Bend Winery, Wight-Meyer, and La Ferme du Cerf. Stop by and give one (or all) of the wines a try.
