People usually go to Halloween stores to find a festive costume. There are basic pieces in your closet that can be combined for a fashion forward and fun costume. Jackie O, Audrey Hepburn and Kate Middleton are simple looks to replicate with wardrobe essentials.

To achieve the Jackie O look, one must have large sunglasses, a chic skirt, pearls and a blazer or cardigan.

Jackie was a fan of hats, which always matched the specific outfit she was wearing. If you want to opt out of the hat, just fix your hair with the famous flip. Keep the make up natural, but put an emphasis on the brow. Clique Waxing Boutique on Frankfort Avenue, has a variety of make up, and has the perfect brow powder to achieve the Jackie look.

Audrey is known for her little black dresses. Black pants were more of an understated look she sported. If you have a little black dress, pearls, a dark shirt, ballet flats and leggings, you can channel your inner Audrey.

The hair must be top-knot, which only takes a few minutes. The make up should be neutral with a bright lip. Sephora in the Oxmoor Mall has a variety of lip glosses, Urban Decay and Smashbox has a lot of choices.

Kate Middleton might have the most sought after style of any living person. Her outfits vary with expensive and affordable pieces.  The Duchess loves colored denim, blazers, the lace trend and anything navy. Nude heels and wedges are an essential to the royal’s wardrobe.

If you do not want to sport a fascinator, keep the hair simple with a few waves. This look can be achieved with a hair straightener or a large barrel curling iron. Keep the make up fresh, but put an emphasis on the cheeks and eyes, with pink blush and dark eyeliner.
