Greg Warren’s life has followed a rather weird, winding road that's ended with making complete strangers laugh every night on stage with his astute observations on life and society.
Warren started out in St. Louis, where as a high school student he found himself walking the blurry line between all-state decorated athlete and pimply faced band geek. He was the most popular kid in school hanging out with the least popular kids in school. This dual high school experience gave him an everyman experience that allows him to speak with everyone in the audience every time he takes the stage.
From high school he went to West Point Military Academy, where he quickly dropped out, realizing military life was not conducive to the unfettered personality of a guy with secret aspirations to be a comedian.
After starting out at open-mic shows, like everyone does, it wasn’t long before Warren found himself slowly rising to the top of the local scene. And shortly after that he was on the road full-time making people laugh in comedy clubs all over the country.
Now gaining national attention after appearing on “Late Night with Seth Meyers,” “The Late Late Show” and “Last Comic Standing,” Warren might just be the next big thing. He has appeared on “Comedy Central Presents” and “Comedy Central’s Premium Blend.” He can also be found regularly on Sirius XM and Pandora. He has released two albums, “Running Out of Time” and “One Star Wonder.” He has also appeared in the independent films “30 Minutes to Sunrise” and “Marshall the Miracle Dog.”
Greg Warren will be performing all weekend, August 6 - 8, at The Laughing Derby. There are early and late shows both Friday and Saturday, and tickets are still available from $12-$15.
