I could say something pretentious to you, like:  Greg Warren has a comedic voice that can be heard well over most of his peers today.  But why?  He's funny, and at the end of the day funny is funny, and this is a show you might wanna check out.  Warren, isn't entirely underexposed, he has appeared on the Bob & Tom radio show, The Late Late Show, and Last Comic Standing - but he's far from a household name.  His stage show is a whirlwind, that blends an eccentric band of characters with material he harvested from his mid-west upbringing (including the fact that while he was wrestling in high school, his mother insisted he also play clarinet in the band).

The St. Louis native has been on the road non-stop since 2002, and has become a master of whatever it is exactly that he does; but make sure you see Warren all weekend (tonight through Saturday) at The Laughing Derby, $15, times will vary.

    About Brent Owen

Born and raised in Louisville, I have lived here most of my life (except during a short furlough, when I, lovelorn and naive, followed a girl to Baton Rouge). My roots are here, my family, my friends, and my life are all here. I work primarily as a free-lance writer for a few local and regional publications. I have also written two books (one a memoir, the other a novel) that barring some divine intervention, will probably never see the light of day. I find myself deeply ingrained in the local bar scene, or perhaps better said, I often indulge in the local drinking culture. I love music, movies, comedy, and really just about any other live performance art.
