It’s Kevin Hart’s world, and we’re just living in it.

The diminutive stand-up comedian is indisputably the biggest, most famous, most successful comic on the planet right now. He brings his “What Now" Tour in for a landing this week at KFC Yum! Center, one of the final stops of the arena tour that has been criss-crossing the country for most of the year.

The tour has had Hart selling out arenas all over North America, even selling out a stadium show in his hometown of Philadelphia, PA. Let me say that again: a comedian sold out Lincoln Financial Field, the stadium where the Philadelphia Eagles play. Sold out stadiums is a level of success and demand generally reserved for iconic musicians like The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney or U2.

Again, this is Kevin Hart’s world. We’re just living in it.

Hart is not only a dynamic, witty stand-up comedian who spent a decade on the road perfecting his sense of humor – he is also undoubtedly the most successful comedic actor of his generation. One of the few who has not released a bomb in theaters in recent memory, working alongside comedy greats like Will Farrell, Josh Gaad and Chris Rock. He's also proved he can act as comedy relief next to people like Ice Cube (“Ride Along”) or Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson (in the upcoming “Central Intelligence”).

Hart’s comedy weaves around stereotypes and expands to include everyone – it’s that degree of mass appeal and relatable swagger that has made Hart the most universally admired comedic voice of the new millennium.

Kevin Hart’s “What Now?" Tour will pull into Louisville Thursday August 20 at KFC Yum! Center. The show begins at 8 p.m., and tickets are still available from $42.50-$145.50.

    About Brent Owen

Born and raised in Louisville, I have lived here most of my life (except during a short furlough, when I, lovelorn and naive, followed a girl to Baton Rouge). My roots are here, my family, my friends, and my life are all here. I work primarily as a free-lance writer for a few local and regional publications. I have also written two books (one a memoir, the other a novel) that barring some divine intervention, will probably never see the light of day. I find myself deeply ingrained in the local bar scene, or perhaps better said, I often indulge in the local drinking culture. I love music, movies, comedy, and really just about any other live performance art.
