The best way to start your New Year is to start thinking healthier. I’m not talking about getting out every day and running 12 miles and feeling like you’re going to pass out. I’m talking about a healthy start in an easy welcoming atmosphere. Yoga on Baxter is this type of place, it’s amazing and definitely makes you sweat. The teachers are amazing and they have a great introductory offer $30 for 30 days. Now the classes they have are prepared for all types of people and whatever level you are experienced at. I had never done yoga before, so this was an experience. The first class I went to was Kristi Fulkerson’s Hot Yoga class, and when I say hot I really mean it. You are sweating bullets in there so don’t forget a towel and water. She offers this class at different times every day; her schedule is up at her site www.yogaonbaxter.com. Not only does she offer the Hot Yoga class but many others as well including Pilates, taught by brilliant teachers. Each of the teachers are seasoned and always make it comfortable offering the best solutions to get the best potential out of yourself and the class. I couldn’t go every day of the 30 days but I was also in school full time. But I went 4 out of the 7 days of the week and I could tell the difference. I was more flexible, my joints didn’t hurt, and my body looked better and stronger.

So no matter your shape or experience this is one awesome place to check out. If you don’t have a mat or forget your water and towel it is okay, they have them there waiting for you for just $1 (not to keep, except the water). But the people that are there are very welcoming and are eager for you to learn, which is nice compared to some gyms around town. The members are all there for the same reason you are, their focus is solely on them and getting to their goals; no one watching you to see how many reps you can do or how much weight you can lift. An easy comfortable atmosphere where everyone’s goals are the same as yours to be healthy and stay fit.  I would definitely go and check this place out, no matter what time your free there is always a class there that can fit into your schedule easy and you feel like you’re getting what you paid for.
