If you've ever dreamt of performing in front of a crowd, running away with the circus or just starting a healthy hobby, Flow Camp 2011 will offer a chance to do just that. Well, you might not run away with the circus, but Flow Camp has many opportunities for you to learn and polish new talents that will prepare you to.  There will also be plenty of music to enjoy.

Flow Camp is a weekend like circus-type workshop retreat in which you can learn hula hoops, belly dance, devil sticks, fire dancing, aerials, and more.  This event will feature regional instructors with various experience levels providing over 50 workshops to choose from.

The event will take place at Terrapin Hill Farm August 12-14, 2011. Terrapin Hill Farm is owned and operated by Pete and Brenda Cashel, who have produced many successful events, including Harvest Festival and Family Reunion. In 2006, Flow Camp founder Jorden Dundich attended Rhythmfest at Terrapin Hill and was so inspired that she went on to spread flow arts in her own city.  She's gathered an eclectic group of performers that she has met along the way  to return to Terrapin Hill and share the love that comes with being a flow artist.

A winter Flow festival website stated that "psychologist Mihály Csíkszentmihály described flow as 'the mental state of operation in which a person in an activity is fully immersed in a feeling of energized focus, full involvement, and success in the process of the activity.' The end result of flow is a feeling of spontaneous joy, even bliss, while performing an activity."

Gates open at 1 p.m. on Thursday, August 11. Workshops start at noon on Friday and Saturday until 9 p.m. Friday night will host a bonfire and spin jam. Flow Camp will feature multiple performances from traveling groups and music provided by DJ Goast, DJ Elix, Lurchimus Maximus, Dessert Sleep, Big Booty Swing Band, and DJ Matt Anthony. It is $80 presale or $150 bring-a-friend discount (two tickets), $100 at the door, $60 Day pass (at door). More info can be found a www.flowcampfestival.com
