    New Crepe from Four Sisters
    Print this page

If you haven’t been to the Four Sisters yet, then there’s yet another reason to make the trip. Situated on Frankfort Avenue, they specialize in crepes (both sweet and savory), Banh Mi sandwiches, and a variety of coffees. Four Sisters is one of the first restaurants that I made a point of going to when I moved to Louisville, and is a place my girlfriend and I frequently visit when we’re in the mood for an amazing crepe.

The newest creation at the Four Sisters debuted when the new year - a savory crepe filled with spinach, pesto, avocado, sauteed mushrooms, tomato, fresh mozzarella and garlic-infused olive oil. It’s served folded over in a springy-yet-crunch crepe, and comes with an additional kicker to take it from great crepe to amazing crepe - a side of Banh Mi sauce for dipping.  The sauce itself tastes somewhat sweet and feels like a thicker, oily soy sauce. It complements the crepe amazingly well and shoots it straight to the top of my list of favorite dish on their menu.

If savory crepes aren’t your style, there are plenty of sweet creations as well - my girlfriend had a pecan crepe that was essentially a big, flat sweet roll - there are so many menu options that you can get lost trying to decide what to eat. This doesn’t, of course, even take the Banh Mi sandwiches into account; I’ve only had one of their vegetarian options and it was amazing.

Four Sisters introduces new menu items fairly regularly, so you should go check them out. The service is wonderful and friendly, the dining area is cozy and nice, and the food is cooked right behind the counter, giving it an even more intimate air.  Check them out on

and make it a point to get down there as soon as you can - you’ll love it.
