What a wonderful Forecastle! That’s another year down and more reason to call Forecastle one of the best music festivals in the country. To complete louisville.com’s coverage, the Forecastle team has summed up their experience with a few superlatives.
Ashlie Stevens
Best savory bite: The baked mac and cheese from Hebros Kitchen. I began fantasizing about this meal about three days prior to Forecastle, and am now furtively on the hunt for a comparable Louisville dish.
Best interview: My conversation with the "Ask Me Anything" guy. His name was Joel Smith, and he was the most thoughtful interviewees to whom I have ever spoken.
Most frightening moment: After biting down too far on a delicious strawberry-lemonade popsicle from King of Pops, my tongue got stuck on an especially frozen bit. After a few seconds of desperate wrangling, and some disturbed looks from passers-by, I finally got unstuck. However, it was like my own little "Christmas Story" moment.
Best Souvenir: Prints from Madpixel Art and Design
Best Attraction: By far, the boat being painted by regional artists. It added such an eclectic vibe to the nautical theme.
