Yes, we at Louisville.com have talked to you about which bands to see and when, but what about the actual details of the event? These are the things that could make or break your experience. When do the gates open? What can you bring inside the festival grounds? Music festival veterans know to get these questions answered in advance for the best possible experience. We have the answers for you here.

If you're interested in making a last-minute ticket purchase, tickets are still available. A general admission three-day Forecastle ticket costs $184.50 plus fees. If you just want to buy a ticket to one day of the festival, that will cost you $84.50 plus fees. When you purchase your ticket online, you are required to present that ticket at the festival gates where it will be exchanged for a wristband that you are expected to keep on you all weekend. For more information on tickets, including the official late night shows, click here.

Some amenities that festival-goers may find useful include free watering stations (patrons are allowed to bring in one empty, refillable bottle), a bike valet, phone charging stations and personal storage lockers.

Along with an empty water bottle, festival-goers can bring in sun block, blankets/towels, small backpacks and purses and one sealed bottle of water. The do not bring list includes weapons, food and drink, alcohol, umbrellas, coolers, lawn chairs, glow sticks, glitter, pets, sunscreen in aerosol cans and recording equipment of any kind.

Ticket holders with a general admission weekend pass, VIP weekend pass and VIP single day ticket can re-enter the grounds. General admission single day ticket holders cannot re-enter.

Every day this weekend, gates will open at 12:30 p.m., while music begins at 1:30 p.m. and ends on the ground at 11p.m. on Friday and Sunday and 11:45 on Saturday.

You can access a ton of Forecastle information on the free Forecastle app where you can even create your own schedule to keep you on track all weekend.
