After last year's lineup, we were a little unsure of what to expect for Forecastle 2016, but we're pretty #OnBoard with what they have for us this year. A few headliners from previous years, a few Louisville frequents, and a few bands we've been dying to see live: 2016 is already looking like a great year.

Here's who they've announced so far:

The Avett Brothers (Here's our coverage from their three-night stay at the Louisville Palace. The band also played Forecastle in 2014)

    Alabama Shakes (Played Forecastle 2013)

Ryan Adams (Stopped by Iroquois Amphitheatre in April 2015)

(Couldn't resist putting something from the superior version of 1989.)

Death Cab For Cutie (Cancelled a show at Iroquois this year)

Walk The Moon (Played Forecastle 2012)

Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals

    Grouplove

Brandi Carlile (Played the WFPK Rock-N-Stroll back in 2013.)

Gary Clark, Jr (Played the Iroquois Amphitheatre this June.)

    Big Gigantic

    Glass Animals

    Dr. Dog

    Blackberry Smoke

    Sylvan Esso

Moon Taxi (Check out our interview with them, for the 2-nights they just played at Headliners. Photo gallery from the weekend, here.)

    Danny Brown

    Phosphorescent

Shakey Graves (Played a crazy Waterfront Wednesday this summer.)

    Washed Out

    Andrew McMahon In The Wilderness

    Femi Kuti & Positive Force

    White Denim

    Bully

Speedy Ortiz (Also played Forecastle 2015)

    Caveman

    All Them Witches

Anderson East (Recently stopped by with The Lone Bellow. Also playing Headliners on 1/28/16)

    The Suffers

    Wild Child

    Nothing

    Steve Gunn

    Alex G
