Adding a different flavor to 2010 Forecastle is the California group, Sustainable Living Roadshow. According to their website they are best described as a “caravan of educators and entertainers who tour the country in a fleet of renewable fuel vehicles to empower communities and individuals to utilize sustainable living strategies for a healthier planet.”

This collection of representatives travels across the country, visiting schools, college campuses, community festivals and other get-togethers offering workshops, education and training on bioregional solutions for sustainability. Those tips include local power generation, community based food production, natural building strategies, conscious consumer choices, progressive public health policies, and alternative transportation.

SLR presents information around sustainable products and living strategies to support a shift in individual and communal choices.
Their typical “roadshow” consists of several different elements, completing a circular formation of relativity. Those components include: Solar Stage complete with theater, music, poetry & fashion shows (all eco-friendly), a Clean Energy Showcase with alternative fuel vehicles and interactive displays, Eco-Info Zone, Workshops & Speakers, Conscious Carnival Midway with educational games, Awakened Art Garden with recycled art & artists, Natural Health & Healing Farmacy, Green Market Place, Green Screens Film Festival and lastly the Green Educators component that includes Green experts who will be around to answer questions and stimulate conversations of sustainability.

The Sustainable Living Roadshow offers a unique characteristic of Forecastle and one that will give you something to take home with you.
