A Louisville local favorite and an alum of St. Xavier High School. Jim is known as the lead singer of My Morning Jacket. Unfortunately, in 2008 Jim was seriously injured after he fell off a stage during a My Morning Jacket tour. The tour had to be cancelled and Jim took time to heal and reflect. Jim James’ mini single career thus began and fortunately My Morning Jacket has not ended. In 2010, he started writing and recording some new songs. “Regions of Light and Sound of God” debuted February 5, 2013 with psychedelic, indie, jam songs like “State of Art - A.E.I.O.U.,” “A New Life,” and “Know Til Now.” See Jim James’ show Saturday, July 13 at 7:45pm on the Mast Stage.
