On Tuesday, April 29, the much-revered Filson Historical Society will be hosting an exclusive bourbon tasting event at 21C Museum Hotel from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. If you’re ready to get into the Derby spirit, this may be the exact event you need to attend: delicious bourbon, graceful company, incredible snacks and fantastic sweets.
The Filson’s own Michael Veach (author, bourbon historian) will be pouring six tastings from three Kentucky distilleries: Brown-Forman, Heaven Hill and Michter’s. Brown Forman will also present craft specialty cocktails: Mint Juleps and Old Fashioned made with Woodford Reserve.
Each flight of whiskey will be paired with brief history and discussion. 21C and Levon Wallace will be offering hors d’oeuvres, and Art Eatables will be providing truffles.
The event is sponsored by the Kentucky Distillers Association, the Louisville Convention and Visitors Bureau, and the Bourbon Review. This exclusive bourbon tasting event will benefit the Filson Historical Society. Tickets can be purchased here. You ticket gets you entrance to the event, six flights of whiskey, two specialty cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and sweets.
