Urban Bourbon Trail adds five new members [Food and dining]

Louisville’s Urban Bourbon Trail is expanding its tour of whiskey distilleries and must-visit bourbon stops. The trail, which sends whiskey lovers on a mission to visit a variety of Louisville bars and restaurants, recently added Ramsi’s Café on the World, Buck’s Restaurant, Equus & Jack’s Lounge, Corbett’s: an American place, and Asiatique.

The newest Urban Bourbon Trail additions add atmospheric and cultural variety to the group. Corbett’s and Buck’s provide a romantic, upscale atmosphere with gourmet cuisine. Ramsi’s has a bountiful menu filled with a variety of worldwide cuisines. Equus & Jack’s calls itself an “upscale bistro serving refined American cuisine.” Asiatique is equipped with “Louisville’s most innovative Pacific-Rim fusion chef.”

The journey is easy and fun to complete. Urban Bourbon Trail contenders must make a purchase, preferably one of the 50 plus fine bourbons, in order to stamp off a destination from their Bourbon Country Passport. Passports are available at the Visitors Center on 4^th and Jefferson (502 379 6109). Digital passports are also available through the Urban Bourbon Trail iPhone app. There’s no time limit to complete the Passport and the program is free. Exploring each place and discovering other fabulous places in Louisville that serve bourbon are what the Urban Bourbon Trail is all about.

To redeem the Passport and receive a specially designed T-shirt and a premium giveaway, go to the Visitors Center. Mailing in the passport and receiving a T-shirt is also an option. Those who choose the iPhone app to complete the Trail will be sent an email about how to get the T-shirt and premium giveaway.
