With a menu of breakfast and lunch entrees that appeals to vegetarians and meat-eaters of all ages, it’s not surprising that Toast on Market is one of NuLu's and New Albany's most popular brunch staples. Whether you've toasted Toast many times before, or haven't yet made it, we've got all the details you need to plan your next (or first!) visit.

    What to Wear:

With both indoor and patio seating, this spot allows guests to dress in whatever they’ll be comfortable in depending on the season. Casual dress is perfectly acceptable, but you can also get away with wearing your Sunday’s best when you stop by for a bite with your grandparents after church/temple/mosque.

    Where to Park:

As most cases in NuLu, street parking is abundant. Meter parking is offered all along Market Street as side streets nearby, like Clay and Hancock Streets, offer free parking. The Toast in New Albany has a similar parking situation.

    What to Order:

For those who want something flavorful to wake them up from a late night studying (or partying), try the Bloody Mary. When the waiter asks if you want it spicy, say yes.

Meat-eaters will love the original bacon and egg sandwich. Unlike the typical chain restaurant’s version of this classic brunch dish, Toast on Market offers an original spin with flavors of house-made Dijon vinaigrette and bold gorgonzola. Don’t forget to request an order of savory hash brown casserole as the side.

Vegetarian taste buds will go crazy for the Ratatouille: a crispy baguette loaded with plenty of Fontina cheese melted perfectly with grilled herbs and veggies. Indulge in an order of Toast's chilled potato salad on the side.

    How Much:

When ordering a specialty cocktail or latte along with an entrée, expect to pay $12-$15 per person.

    Wait Time:

There is rarely a wait time longer than 15 minutes Tuesday – Friday. However, expect to wait for up to an hour during this spot’s peak business hours on Saturdays and Sundays 11am – 1pm.

Toast is open 7am – 2pm Tuesday – Friday and 8am – 2pm Saturday – Sunday. Toast on Market is located at 620 East Market Street in Louisville and at 141 East Market Street in New Albany. For a look at Toast's full menu, visit their website.
