    Eat & Swig

Located downtown on busy Market Street with a simple black and green display of the restaurant’s Fleur de Lis logo, Dish on Market leaves much to the imagination when passing by. But with a menu full of American favorites made with a special home-cooked touch, those who frequent this local eatery know its offerings are far from simple. Whether Dish is one of your favorite dinner destinations, or if you have yet to explore it, we have all the details you’ll need to know when planning your next (or very first) visit.

    What to Wear:

Dish’s cute and simple décor provides the perfect setting for any occasion, whether it be a business lunch, Sunday brunch with family or even date night. You’ll see many different people in different attire, but causal is typically the norm here.

    Where to Park:

Located downtown, Dish on Market does not offer a parking lot. However, meter parking is available right out front and along nearby Fifth Street. It is also just a short walk away from many downtown businesses.

    What to Order:

Dish offers a full menu for each meal of the day, which can be a blessing to foodies, but also a curse to the indecisive. For breakfast, we highly recommend the Skillet Baked Eggs Hot Brown. This plate includes everything you love about the original Hot Brown, combined with everything you love about Eggs Benedict. But for those who can’t decide on just one menu item, Dish hosts a full brunch buffet every Saturday and Sunday.

Old-fashioned taste buds will go crazy for the Yankee Reuben sandwich. Two slices of rye bread piled high with Dish’s signature corned beef, plenty of aioli, Swiss cheese and sauerkraut — this beast of a sandwich will make you ask yourself why corned beef isn’t its own food group. Add a delicious side of home-cooked mashed potatoes and gravy to complete your meal.

Vegetarians will be swept off their feet by Dish’s veggie burger. Unlike any other meatless burger you’ve ever seen before, this vegetarian treat is tempura-fried and fully loaded with sautéed mushrooms and onions, dressed with cold slices of tomato, crisp lettuce and aioli. Pregame with an appetizer of fried pickles.

    How Much:

When ordering an appetizer, a craft cocktail and an entrée, expect your total bill to be $22 - $50. Keep in mind that Dish offers special food and drink prices throughout the week and its appetizers are big enough for three or more people to share.

    Wait Time:

Don’t expect to wait for a table while dining for dinner during the week. However, weekend dinner diners and those dining for brunch and during the work week’s lunch rush should expect to wait on table for up to 20 minutes. To avoid the wait, you can always call ahead to make a reservation and also order online on Dish’s website.

Dish is located at 434 W. Market Street. To see the restaurant's full menu, visit its website. Reservations can be made by calling 502-315-0669.

    Hours:

    Sunday: 8am – 8pm
    Monday - Thursday: 8am – 10pm
    Friday – Saturday: 8am – 11pm

The brunch buffet is served from 8am – 2pm every Saturday and Sunday.
