Five longtime friends come together to share laughs and memories in The Dixie Swim Club, which opens tomorrow at Derby Dinner Playhouse.

The Dixie Swim Club will take place each day except Mondays from May 15-July 1.  Shows in the evenings will take place at 7:45 p.m. each night with buffet starting at 6 p.m.  Sunday matinees will go on at 1:30 p.m. with buffet starting at 11:45 a.m.  Finally, Wednesday matinees are to begin at 1 p.m. with buffet starting at 11:45 a.m.  All performances are to go on at Derby Dinner Playhouse, located at 525 Marriott Drive in Clarksville, IN.

Tickets for each show depend on the day.  Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday evening shows are $40 per person, Friday shows are $41, Saturday evening shows are $44, Sunday matinee shows are $36, and Wednesday matinee shows are $35 per person.  All tickets can be purchased at the Derby Dinner Playhouse website, at the box office, or by calling the box office at 812-288-8281.

Five Southern women, friends for many years, come together for a weekend every summer to keep their friendships alive in The Dixie Swim Club.  The show features four of those weekends over a 35 year period.  In these get-togehters, there are no boyfriends, no kids, no outside issues that interfere with them.  That is, until fate steps in and tests the strength of their friendship.

The Dixie Swim Club cast includes Janet Essenpreis, Rita Thomas, Jill Kelly, Michelle Johnson, and Tina Jo Wallace.  Bekki Jo Schneider directed the production.

During The Dixie Swim Club's run, Derby Dinner Playhouse will also present the children's theatre production of Rapunzel.  The tale of a girl with extremely long hair will begin its run this Saturday.  More information on the show can be found at the Derby Dinner Playhouse website.
