One of Louisville’s favorite new comedy labels is putting on another show this week (after Adam Burke’s Sunday night performance) with the “Cute Guys, Large Fries Comedy Tour” featuring Max Fine and Michael Rowland, as it makes a stop June 24th in Louisville at Gallery K. Max Fine was born and raised and began his comedy career Atlanta, GA. He started out by pursuing and failing at a countless of artistic pursuits like: “filmmaking and watching TV.”

Soon, he decided to make a step toward standup comedy. He is the host and producer of BYOP (Bring Your Own Parent), an Atlanta based show where comics come on stage to perform with members of their family. Max can regularly be seen all over Atlanta and will perform at anywhere that will put a microphone in front of his face. He has also performed all over the country and had the pleasure of sharing the stage with national headliners like James Adomian, Craig Robinson, Jarrod Harris, and many more.

Michael Rowland has been burdened with a life long, deeply rooted compulsion to make the world laugh. Like Fine, he was born and raised in Atlanta, and became interested in comedy when he was very young. As soon as he had the chance to get the hell out of Dodge, he did what any rational person would do, he moved to L.A. After spending a few years doing comedy and sleeping on friends’ couches, Michael decided to return home to Atlanta where he can be seen performing around town almost nightly (when he isn’t on the road).

He's had the honor of performing on stage with the likes of Damon Wayans Jr, Michael Kosta, Bobcat Goldthwait, and Joey Diaz. The “Cute Guys, Large Fries Comedy Tour” featuring Max Fine and Michael Rowland will stop in Louisville on Wednesday June 24th at Gallery K. Show begins at 8 PM and tickets are $5. About Brent Owen

Born and raised in Louisville, I have lived here most of my life (except during a short furlough, when I, lovelorn and naive, followed a girl to Baton Rouge). My roots are here, my family, my friends, and my life are all here. I work primarily as a free-lance writer for a few local and regional publications. I have also written two books (one a memoir, the other a novel) that barring some divine intervention, will probably never see the light of day. I find myself deeply ingrained in the local bar scene, or perhaps better said, I often indulge in the local drinking culture. I love music, movies, comedy, and really just about any other live performance art.
