
Now through September 6, you can enjoy the special menu offerings of Green Chile dishes at Chuy's. They are celebrating their love for Green Chiles rock'n'roll style and it's all delicious! Go soon to taste all of the Green Chile goodness, including specialty drinks! It's all part of the 27th annual Green Chile Festival that gives diners an "all-access pass" to fresh green chiles straight from the heart of Hatch, New Mexico. The Green Chile Festival is happening at both Chuy's Louisville and Chuy's Clarksville locations.
Putting the green chile on center stage this year with a music festival as well, this annual food festival celebrates the green chile harvest brought to us in Hatch, New Mexico. The special menu is only being offered for a few more days, although it's been offered at the restaurant over the past three weeks. The specialty menu features the following six scrumptious dishes:
Green Chile Pork Tamales
Bacon Wrapped Pork Rellenos
Veggie Fajitas
Bang Bang Burrito
Fat Daddy Enchiladas
VIP Combo
To cool your palate down from the green chile goddesses, Chuy's is also offering a Frozen Watermelon Margarita, a Spicy Cucumber Texas Martini and the New Mexican Martini, which is made with green chile infused tequila. All of these are sure to please and are festival favorites.
According to Chuy's, their love for the green chile "dates back to 1989 when their founders traveled to the “Chile Capital of the World” in search of the perfect pepper to complement their authentic Tex-Mex. The arid climate and rich soil of the Hatch Valley in New Mexico are uniquely suited to grow this legendary pepper and are not found anywhere else in the world."
They are the first to host the happening green chile festival outside of New Mexico. They love the green chile, the most flavorful pepper on earth. In August, the chiles reach their maximum flavor potential, and restaurant managers traveled to the Hatch Valley to retrieve the finest and freshest chiles for this festival. This year they contracted with farmers to grow over two million pounds of fresh green chiles for their restaurant chain.

After months of cultivating new and exciting recipes and watching the green chiles grow to the right size, color and texture, we can’t wait for the harvest to finally arrive at our restaurants. Green Chile Festival is the only time of year that we showcase new menu items and it’s the perfect chance for us to share this one-of-a-kind pepper with our customers.”
