Around my house, if something is free, we do it. But even if something is only 25 cents, we’d still do it! This weekend you might want to take your family to enjoy the following.

On Friday, June 21 from 5pm-8pm there is “The Longest Day of Play” happening at Bullitt Central High School. Some of the FREE activities planned include basketball, bouncy jumping, cheerleading, kickboxing, and swimming. They are all suitable for all ages and since June 21, 2013 is the longest day of the year, it’s a perfect time to celebrate a longer day of play! Call 502-955-5355 for more information. Bullitt Central High School is located at 1330 Kentucky 44 in Shepherdsville.

On Saturday, June 22…hold onto your laptop or iPhone…your entire family can pick up a sweet deal at Homemade Ice Cream and Pie Kitchen. From 12pm-5pm go back to days gone by. Does anyone remember when you could get an ice cream cone for $.25? I love it when we can get a cone for a dollar! But 25 cents-we are definitely taking them up on their offer this weekend. The Pie Kitchen has 32 flavors of fresh churned ice cream from which to choose-and you are invited to their 25 cent ice cream social! So bring that roll of quarters with you and go for it! This deal is available at all ten Homemade Ice Cream and Pie Kitchens in Louisville, Prospect, Southern Indiana, and Shelbyville. Worry about the first day of summer and your bathing suit on Sunday.
