    Catherine Feeny from Portland, Oregon has been selected as the winner of Abbey Road on the River's John Lennon Songwriting Contest and will be appearing with her band on Sunday, May 26 at 6pm on The Fountain Stage during the Abbey Road on the River Festival held on the Belvedere. The Abbey Road on the River John Lennon Songwriting Contest "Peace Promotion" is an international songwriting contest based around the theme of 'peace' open to amateur and professional songwriters from around the world. Feeny beat out 203 other contestants for this honor. Feeny's composition was judged on melody, composition, originality, and and lyrics. Along with her all-expenses paid trip to perform at Abbey Road on the River, Feeny also won custom John Lennon Educational Tour Bus cables from Neutrik, a JamHub BedRoom, and an Avid MBox. As the winner of this contest, Feeny also stands the chance to win JLSC's $20,000 Song of the Year prize! View her bio here.
