If there’s one thing everyone can definitely agree on it’s that the work week is often just too long. Sometimes we all need the occasional middle-of-the-week night out with our friends. And if you’re going to make the exception and stay out late in the middle of the week, why not make it count for a great cause?
This Thursday, April 23rd, Nowhere Bar is hosting the Buy-A-Date, Help Save A Life date auction to support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in the fight against blood cancers. This fund-raising event will showcase an exciting roster of local individuals who are auctioning off their own time to support the cause. Nowhere Bar invites everyone to this 21+ event. There’s no cover (like every Thursday night at Nowhere Bar), but donations to the cause are highly encouraged and greatly appreciated.
All attendees will have the option of bidding on a date with one of Louisville’s finest singles. But if you’re already taken by someone special, you’re more than welcome to just grab a drink and enjoy the fun!
All proceeds of the night’s fundraiser will benefit cancer research, treatment for those who are fighting their own battle with cancer, and the journey to find a cure. According to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s website, a large portion of the donations will directly help in funding the LLS education program which provides information on the latest developments in cancer research to patients and their families. That’s a pretty good reason to start your weekend early if you ask me!
This event is scheduled to begin at 8:30, with the date auction beginning at 9:30. Nowhere Bar’s weekly Thursday Throwdown with DJ JAY KAY will still be happening that night from 7pm – 4am, so come early and stay late! And don’t forget to bring your friends!
