It's going to be a busy year for Beatles fans and tribute bands. 2014 marks the 50th anniversary of the Beatles venture to America and their revolutionary performances on the Ed Sullivan show. Louisville has garnered a variety of Beatles celebrations over the years. Abbey Road on the River has become the city's biggest kick off to summer, and, in 2014, they're celebrating 50 years of the Beatles with a special show titled February '64. Derby Dinner asks The Return to return again and again for a Beatles show in early fall, and, this month, Beatlemania will "Rain" again.

Widely regarded as one of the best Beatles’ tribute bands, Rain will be performing in Louisville next weekend. According to their website, “RAIN - A TRIBUTE TO THE BEATLES is a live multi-media spectacular that takes you on a musical journey through the life and times of the world’s most celebrated band. This stunning concert event takes you back in time with the legendary foursome delivering a note-for-note theatrical event that is the next best thing to the Beatles.” With replica instruments, replica costumes, and top-notch musicianship, it’s easy to believe you have traveled back to the ‘60s while watching Rain. This acclaimed tribute band has performed on Broadway and has been featured on Good Morning America and the Today show. Such a concert would make a perfect early Christmas present for any Beatles fan, big or small. The show will be held at the beautiful Louisville Palace on Sunday, November 17th. Rain will be performing two shows at 2pm and 7:30pm. Tickets start at just $37.50 and are available to purchase on the Louisville Palace website, louisvillepalace.com. For more information about the band, visit raintribute.com or follow them on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.
