It’s not exactly a widely known fact that countless professional comedians live in Louisville.  When I say “professional” I mean comedians that regularly perform all over the country as their primary form of income – a status in the industry that doesn’t necessarily come with fame, but is what pretty much anyone who has ever braved an open-mic strives for…complete professional independence.

That said, The Laughing Derby’s monthly showcase, All-Star Comedy Show, is an awesome opportunity to see these national touring comedians perform on their home turf, with a stacked bill of other professional comedians, and almost all of which have been friends for years.

Every month the line-up rotates, for September it will feature Will Hardesty, Jeff Caldwell, Mike Chandler, Chris Bowers, Danny Browning, and Cleveland.

The All-Star Comedy Show will fire off Tuesday September 22nd at The Laughing Derby.  The show begins at 7:30 PM and tickets are available for $10.

    About Brent Owen

Born and raised in Louisville, I have lived here most of my life (except during a short furlough, when I, lovelorn and naive, followed a girl to Baton Rouge). My roots are here, my family, my friends, and my life are all here. I work primarily as a free-lance writer for a few local and regional publications. I have also written two books (one a memoir, the other a novel) that barring some divine intervention, will probably never see the light of day. I find myself deeply ingrained in the local bar scene, or perhaps better said, I often indulge in the local drinking culture. I love music, movies, comedy, and really just about any other live performance art.
