1. The Parklands of Floyd's Fork – If you possibly have not explored yet, get over there! So many trails, so much beautiful wildlife, so many educational programs for families. GO!
2. The Big Four Bridge – Last February my family and I were one of the thousands who trekked up the bridge and looked over the railing into Jeffersonville. We can’t wait to make our way down on the other side of the river banks into Indiana soon.
3.Walk the quaint sidewalks of Old Louisville and the bustling neighborhood of NuLu. If you’re an east-ender family like mine, these ventures are even more fun because you just feel so cool around the hipster youth.
4. Visit a new museum this winter – Portland Museum, Ali Center, and the Museum of the American Printing House for the Blind are on our short list.
5. Hop aboard a trolley. They are not just for young adults looking for the nightlife around downtown Louisville on a Friday night. My 10 year-old and I have been on the First Friday Trolley Hop – they are family-friendly (well, before 8pm!)
