    Bit to Do

Wondering where to take mom? We've got you covered.

    12. Enjoy Mother's Day at Slugger Field.

Bring mom out to the ballpark. All moms can enjoy a free mini-manicure or mini-massage during the game!

    11. Visit the Louisville Zoo.

    Free admission for Mom.

    10. Take a hike together or venture through Yew Dell Gardens.

There are wonderful trails and places to hike all over Kentuckiana. Start with one of these five places: The Parklands of Floyds Fork, Jefferson Memorial Forest, Blackacre Nature Preserve, Creasey Mahan Nature Preserve or Iroquois Park. Yew Dell is a botanical garden located in Crestwood.

    9. Cruise the Ohio on the Belle of Louisville.

The weather predicted for Mother's Day will be perfect for a cruise on the Ohio.

    8. Got some jump in you? Take mom to Skyzone Louisville for a bouncing good time on some high-flying trampolines.

In the past mothers have gotten in free at Skyzone Louisville on Mother's Day. Check their Facebook page for updates.

    7. Take a free walking tour of downtown Louisville.

Or visit one of the Hometown Tourist Celebration sites and do something new together.

    6. Topple some pins bowling at the Vernon Club.

Mother's Day doesn't have to be all about a fancy brunch. Simple activities like these make great memories together.

    5. Give her a shopping spree at The Outlet Shoppes of the Bluegrass.

Spend some time winding down in historic Shelbyville before or afterwards. You could also take mom shopping at the Paddock Shops, Westport Village, or at Oxmoor and St. Matthews.

    4. Sip tea together at Sisters Tea Parlor & Boutique in Buckner.

Sisters is offering a Mother's Day High Tea at various times May 7-10.

    3. Enjoy Mother's Day at Churchill Downs

Treat mom to a day at the races.

    2. Take mom on a trek through the Urban Bourbon Trail.

If you have one of those "fun moms."

    1. Head to the Flea Off Market.

It's my #1 pick because it is what I have decided I want to do this Sunday. I'll be finding Louisville Cream and having one of those pretzel cones to celebrate being a mom.
