From 5 to 11 p.m. this Friday, trolley riders who normally hop around Market and Main streets will finally be able to take the First Friday trolley down to SoFo for the July 2013 edition of the First Friday SoFo Hop. Riders will be able to visit eight of the nine pioneering shops along South Fourth Street between the Seelbach and Brown hotels, with Craft Gallery having recently opened to the public.
For those who aren’t in a shopping mood, guests can visit the Regallery – located on the second floor of Regalo’s SoFo location – to view the newest pieces from local artist Joshua Jenkins, whose expressionist paintings aim to capture “the life of gay men in the 21st century.” Afterwards, the Black Rock Grille food truck will be parked along the street, serving their wares for as long as supplies last.
Riders who wish to venture into the heart of Louisville’s newest shopping district will be able to do so at Fourth and Market. The trolley service for both SoFo and Main Street is sponsored by Republic Bank, Main Street Association and TARC, and is managed by the Louisville Downtown Management District.
