Fans were ready for the match-up between UK and UT at Chattanooga with blue all around.  Kentucky came out hot and looked good, talking to one another on the floor.   The first half started with Kentucky going on a 13-0 scoring run, with Davis, Teague, and Lamb on the board before Chattanooga could say BLUE.  Chattanooga managed to climb back within 16 by the close of the half, but the damage was done.

The newest news from the Wildcat bench came when Twany Beckham saw 3 minutes of time on the floor at guard.  The bench for UK showed up with Miller contributing 12 points, 3 rebounds, and 1 steal along with Kyle Wiltjer who added 9 points, and 3 rebounds.  Wiltjer played aggressively, fighting for the ball and racking up 3 fouls over his 23 minutes on the court.  Kentucky's starting five contributed 66 points; Lamb with 24 and 6 rebounds, Kidd-Gilchrist with 17 points.  Davis added another double-double to his resume with 14 points, 18 rebounds, and 5 blocks. The Wildcats did improve their free-throw shooting this time around.

The Mocs fought hard, but could not compete on the inside.  Drazen Zlovaric contributed 15 points and 9 rebounds as the top player for Chattanooga.  Ricky Taylor ended the night with 11 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 assists.  Poor ball handing told the tale for the Mocs as UK capitalized on turnovers.  The Mocs turned the ball over 14 times as compared to UK’s 13, yet could not connect on the offensive side.

The Wildcats are back in Rupp Tuesday night at 7pm ET against Samford.
