    La Femme Physique Gallery Reception (Benefiting Dare to Care)
    Please join Kevin Talley Photography for the "La Femme Physique" Gallery Reception at Seviche Restaurant.     BEATS & EATS: FROM STREET TO SHINING STREET
    America is full of eclectic street food traditions, with unique regional dishes enjoyed across the country. This month, Decca’s underground cocktail den, The Cellar Lounge, debuts Chef Annie Pettry’s latest edition of “Beats & Eats,” showcasing her take on beloved specialties from throughout the U.S. of A. in “Street Foods of Our Nation.” 
    The Cellar Lounge’s late-night pop-up will celebrate America’s regional street foods, alongside beats of NYC Hip-Hop spun by DJ Ryan Rugger. In addition to the full bar menu, drink specials will include $2 Jell-O Shots, $2 Budweiser, and The Cellar Lounge’s infamous “Five Dolla Holla”—a shot of bourbon and a can of beer for $5.

    Heaven & Evan: Bourbon + Tasting Tour
    Having a well-rounded, palette-pleasing bourbon experience doesn’t have to take an entire day. Bourbon lovers can now sign up for Heaven & Evan, a unique exclusive tour and tasting experience organized by Mint Julep Tours. The experience transports you from downtown Louisville to nearby Bardstown and back in just five and a half hours, making it the perfect option for people looking to maximize their time.
    Heaven & Evan is limited to 23 guests per night, making it an intimate experience that any bourbon lover will not soon forget.

    Rock the Rocks - With a Twist 2015

    Seluah, Chew, John The Band
    Psych-noir quartet Seluah perform songs from their new album, Phase III, out now on Karate Body Records. Trio Chew "produces agile and fuzz-laden psych jams that veer into deeply heady territories, including everything from prog and acid rock to funk and downbeat."

    7th Annual Louisville Brewfest
    Help us celebrate independent beer and businesses! A number of local and regional brewers, restaurants and wineries will be offering food and drink from 4 - 10 p.m. Heaven Hill brands Larceny and Elijah Craig Small Batch will be providing the bourbon. 
    Beer (12oz) or Wine (4-5oz) is 4 tickets each (samples are 1 ticket each), Bourbon (sample size, 1/2 ounce) is 1 ticket, soft drinks are 2 tickets. Food and wine prices will vary. Stay hydrated - Louisville Pure Tap is readily available! Louisville Water Company will have reusable water bottles for sale ($2), or bring your own and fill up for free. 
    Designated Drivers get free admission. Attendees must be 21 or older to enjoy the beer, wine and bourbon.

    Brewfest After Party
    Get free admission to the Haymarket Whiskey Bar (one block from Slugger Field) with your Brewfest wristband. Local favorites Squeezebot will be on the stage and Midnight Hour Sound System will be spinning in the front room.     Bark in the Park
    Bark in the Park is a celebration of all things canine.  Each September, The Animal Care Society welcomes the general public to one of Metro Louisville’s most popular green spaces – Seneca Park. Participate in the 5K, hang out with your dog(s) by the kiddie pools, munch on pizza and hot dogs, participate in fun contests, learn about rescue organizations and animal-friendly businesses nearby, and and meet tons of amazing animal lovers right here in Louisville!

    Grooming Safety at Bark In The Park
    While at Bark in the Park on Saturday, September 26, 2015 be sure to learn about grooming safety.  While some groomers are registered or certified by a grooming school or a professional association, no government agency regulates or licenses pet groomers in the U.S. 
    “My mission is to make people aware of the risks associated with pet grooming, as my 5-year-old poodle Duke died while being groomed at a veterinary clinic in Louisville,” says Lisa Shields, who will be handing out Pet Grooming Safety brochures at Bark in the Park.  “I urge you to protect your pet by asking questions and researching the groomer to whom you entrust your pet.  Duke was dearly loved and will always be missed.”

    Portland Art & Heritage Fair
    The Portland Art & Heritage Fair, presented by Portland Now Inc., is a free one-day festival featuring a juried art exhibit, trolley tours of historic Portland with stops along the way, children’s activities, craft booths, food trucks and music. The purpose of the Fair is to showcase the talents and rich cultural heritage of the historic Portland neighborhood and its residents.

    On Saturday, September 26th, Susan G. Komen Louisville will be celebrating its 11th Annual Pink Tie Ball at the Seelbach Hilton Hotel. Start time is 6:00 pm with signature cocktails and a silent auction, followed by dinner, a live auction and dancing to the Louisville Crashers.

    Crystal Boots & Silver Spurs
    In 2015, we celebrate our sixth annual Crystal Boots & Silver Spurs Gala on Saturday, September 26th, 2015. The Gala takes place at the home of Jeannie and Victor Unruh in Floyds Knobs, Indiana. Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres start at 5:30pm followed by dinner and a program. This event raises awareness and necessary funds for the Kentucky &Southeast Indiana chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society. Over a million dollars has been raised by the Crystal Boots & Silver Spurs event over the last five years directly supporting innovative research and continued support and education for individuals and their families affected by MS. It is our dream that a cure will be found during our lifetime.

    RYE BACK PORCH SESSIONS WITH 1200
    RYE's Back Porch Sessions is a FREE summer concert series intending to expose local artists and create a place for the community to gather around food and music.     Louisville Orchestra presents Leonard Bernstein's Mass
    “Mass” seeks the meaning and relevance of faith in an increasingly secular and noisy world. Sometimes humorous, occasionally bawdy, and at times profoundly moving, Bernstein’s masterpiece, based on the Roman Catholic liturgy, includes passages sung in Latin with additional texts in English by Bernstein and Broadway composer Stephen Schwartz. An enormous piece, the work, scored for orchestra, two choruses, marching and rock bands, actors, and dancers, also features rock, blues, Broadway, and classical music.

    Family Adventure Day
    Bring the kids to Churchill Downs for a day of racing and family activities such as pony rides, inflatables, petting zoo, stick horse races, face painting, and more on Sunday, September 27th and Sunday, November 8th.     Kidney Walk
    The Kidney Walk is a fun, inspiring non-competitive fundraiser that calls attention to the prevention of kidney disease and the need for organ donation. In 2014, over 1,000 patients, family members, organ recipients and donors, co-workers, and friends came out to walk for a great cause and to support local NKF programs and services.
