to count down the "Best of 2012." Voters will be entered to win a concert package from Headliners Music Hall featuring 10 upcoming artists including Father John Misty, Citizen Cope, They Might Be Giants and more. The ballot includes:

    New Artist of the Year

: Alabama Shakes, Divine Fits, Father John Misty, Gotye, The Lumineers, or you can enter another option

    Song of the Year

: "Hold On" by Alabama Shakes, "Somebody That I Used To Know" by Gotye, "Museum of Flight" by Damien Jurado, "Ho hey" by The Lumineers, "I Will Wait" by the Mumford & Sons, "Madness" by Muse, "Doom & Gloom" by the Rolling Stones, "We Take Care Of Our Own" by Bruce Springsteen, "1904" by Tallest Man on Earth, "Are You Gonna Waste My Time" by Zeus, or you can enter another option

    Louisville Artist of the Year

: Bro. Stephen, Discount Guns, Houndmouth, Joan Shelly, Ben Sollee, or you can enter another option (I know Field of Kings would love to have your vote.)

I personally voted for The Lumineers for New Artist of the Year, "Somebody That I Used to Know" by Gotye for Song of the Year, and Field of Kings for Louisville Artist of the Year. While The Lumineers and Gotye have a drastically different sound and style I love them both. Field of Kings is a band I play violin in, and we've done a lot of cool things in 2012, our first year of existence as the group we are now, including a WFPK Live Lunch, playing in the second installment of the "Faces at the Palace" Concert Series at the Louisville Palace, and more. These are my recommendations. Vote for my picks or not, cast your ballot today!
