Life behind bars can be a circus as Loyalty Productions shows in Circus Circus, a production that opens tonight.
Circus Circus performances will take place on July 12, 13, 14, 19, 20, and 21 at 8 p.m. each night. All performances are to happen at the Mex Theater, located inside the Kentucky Center for the Arts at 501 W. Main Street in downtown Louisville.
Tickets for each show are $16 per person and can be purchased at the box office, the Kentucky Center website, or by calling the box office at 1-800-775-7777. Tickets will also be sold at the door. Due to strong language, the show is not recommended for those under 15 years of age.
Circus Circus is a metaphor the prison that Robert patiently sits in among the more violent offenders. His crime was marijuana-related, and he explains his crime and his life behind the prison bars. The ringmaster of this circus is the warden, Warden Gordon as he is known, who allows the look inside since, like all ringmasters, he enjoys the attention.
Loyalty Productions will present this production, which is based on a true story.
