It can be hard to keep track of all the cool foodie buzz and gossip that circulates Louisville. Here's what I find noteworthy this week:
502 Restaurant Week is starting February 19, and running through March 5. Taste of 502 is tonight, see more details here.
Gralehaus (a bed-and-breakfast venture from the team behind Holy Grale) opened February 7 and is already garnering rave reviews. They have a fancy coffee thingamajig called the Modbar System.
The Monkey Wrench is now doing brunch on Sundays. Their mushroom gravy is particularly tasty.
Wild Rita's opened February 3, where Mozz used to be. They have lots of different kinds of tequila, the better to cope with this unbearable winter.
Boombozz says (via facebook) a new store location is coming soon.
Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana start their cookie booth sales on February 18. Use this cookie locator app to find a troop selling cookies near you.
Louisville's favorite food truck (well, my favorite food truck) Grind is opening a non-moving store. It will be a few months before their new location is up and running, and they will continue to food truck around town. Looks like I can get my B&B Burger on all the time soon. You can also now buy their smoked ketchup at The Reynolds Grocery Company on Frankfort Avenue. In unrelated news, soon my jeans will no longer fit.
The Exchange merited a spot on Eater's list of 19 Hottest Burgers in the U.S. right now. It was the only Kentuckiana restaurant to make the list.
The 2014 Starchefs Kentucky-Tennessee Rising Stars Gala will be held in Louisville this year, at the Muhummad Ali Center on February 25, 2014. You can purchase tickets here!
