    Bit to Do

This Friday night, Jan. 22nd, from 6-9 p.m., the Monkey Wrench (1025 Barret Ave.) will host a benefit for Haiti at its Rooftop Island in the Highlands.

A portion of the sales from the evening will be sent to help relief efforts in Haiti after it was left devastated from last week’s 7.0 earthquake.  Direct donations will also be taken at the door as every little bit counts and helps this demolished nation.

To honor and celebrate Haiti’s Caribbean location, owner Dennie Humphrey will be re-opening the rooftop deck for this charitable event. Complete with outdoor seating, heat lamps and a full-service bar, guests to the benefit will get the feel of summertime in January. Come by for dinner, fruity umbrella drinks or just to visit an outside oasis in the middle of winter, as anything guests purchase will help in aiding those in need.

For more information on the event, please call 502-582-2433 and see you on the rooftop for a good cause and an island event. After all, it’s halfway to spring!
