IUS closes its 2011-2012 season with performances of Waiting for Godot, set to take place for one weekend only.
Waiting for Godot performances will go on April 12, 13, and 14 each night at 8 p.m. Shows on April 13, 14, and 15 will also take place at 2:30 p.m. each day. All performances are to happen in the Robinson Theatre in the Ogle Center at IUS, located at 4201 Grant Line Road in New Albany.
Tickets for each show are $12 for adults, $6 for seniors, and $6 for students. Tickets can be purchased at the Ogle Center box office or by calling 812-941-2525. More information on the venue can be found at the IUS theatre website.
Waiting for Godot features two bums literally waiting for a man they have never met. Another person comes along and says Godot will stop by. To pass the time, the two men use their resourcefulness to keep themselves busy or, at least, entertained.
Samuel Beckett created Waiting for Godot, which is considered his best known work.
Waiting for Godot is the last show for IUS's 2011-2012 season, which also involved The Mousetrap and The Fantasticks.
