Have a Fantastik time waiting for a mousetrap this year during the 2011-2012 season at Indiana University Southeast.

IUS will present three shows for its upcoming season, including The Mousetrap (Oct.-Nov.), The Fantasticks (Feb. 2012), and Waiting for Godot (April 2012).  Shows will take place in the Ogle Center on the IUS campus, located at 4201 Grant Line Road in New Albany, IN.

A murder mystery is in the works when IUS opens the season with The Mousetrap.  This Agatha Christie-created production surrounds the murder of a woman in London.  At the same time, guests arrive at a guest house in Monkswell Manor.  After learning of the murder and following some rather unusual behavior and situations at the Manor, the guests become amateur sleuths and try to find the killer.  Before he/she gets them, that is.

The Mousetrap will be set at IUS from Oct. 28-Nov. 6 in the Robinson Theater in IUS's Ogle Center.  Tickets are $12 for adults, $6 for students, and $6 for seniors.

Two lovebirds will have their love tested deliberately by outside forces in The Fantasticks, the second show of IUS's season.  In the musical, Louisa and Matt's fathers have set up a fake abduction, which leads to the guy rescuing the girl.  However, tension and lessons on love are learned after Matt and Louisa discover the ruse.

The Fantasticks will run at IUS from Feb. 10-19 at the Ogle Center.  Jim Hesselman will direct the Harvey Schmidt-created production.

Will Godot ever come?  Find out in IUS's third and final play of the season, Waiting for Godot.  THe play involves two men, at one time complete strangers, who find out they are waiting for the same person.  While waiting, people walking by stop to converse and entertain them.  Still, the waiting continues...

Waiting for Godot will run from April 12-15 at the Ogle Center in IUS.  Hesselman will direct the Samuel Beckett-written work.

More information on IUS's upcoming season can be found at the theatre department website.
