Adults become less and less civilized in the IUS theatre presentation God of Carnage, which opens on Thursday.
God of Carnage will take place on Feb. 20, 21, 22, 27, 28, and Mar. 1 at 8 p.m. each night. Matinees will go on Feb. 23 and Mar. 2 at 2:30 p.m. each day. All performances are to happen at the Ogle Center, located on the IUS campus at 4201 Grant Line Road in New Albany, IN.
Tickets for each show are $12 for adults, $6 for students, and $6 for senior citizens. All tickets can be purchased at the door, by calling 812-941-5526, or going to the IUS theatre website.
Manners are in short supply in God of Carnage. Two couples meet in a New York City home following a playground incident between each couple's kid. At first, the meeting is cordial and pleasant. Then, the rum flows, the accusations fly, and these once cordial adults turn into kids much like the ones they're supposed to be discussing.
Yasmina Reza created God of Carnage, which Jim Hesselman directed for IUS.
Following God of Carnage, IUS will present Indiucky, a festival of fables, fairy tales, and folklore. Indiucky will take place in April.
