It's time for some Burlesque, baby! The Alley Theater is once more all about Keeping Louisville Weird. They sold out for Va Va Voyeur and Va Va Valentine, so now they're bringing you another opportunity for some Burlesque fun with Va Va Vegas. This time around, you'll get aerial acts, showgirls, live magic, circus performers, pole dancers, and, of course, the Va Va Vixens.
I find the Alley Theater a welcome addition to Louisville's live theater scene. In addition to the camptastic fun of the occasional Burlesque show, they've also hosted the Blue Moon Circus, the Queens of the Damned, and tongue in cheek productions which actually require some thought from the audience such as "Vampire Lesbians of Sodom" and "The Bible: The Complete World of God, Abridged." The alternative theater you see here is genuinely unlike anything else you'll find in town.
Va Va Vegas runs June 10, 11, 12, 18 & 19 at The Alley Theater, 1205 E. Washington Street.
Tickets are $18, but if you know a June bride who needs a bachaelorette party, I recommend one of the $120 cabaret tables. They seat 6 and will get your lady of the night plenty of attention.
