When there is negative media around a member of the Pit Bull breed all Pit Bulls get blamed for it. As a result there are higher numbers of this breed ending up at shelters and they are at high risk of euthanasia because of the public perception that this breed is untrustworthy. Actually for the vast majority of Pit Bulls in responsible homes the truth is the total opposite, they are just like other dog breeds. Note I used the word RESPONSIBLE dog owners.
