I have raved about Mussel & Burger bar before. Their Bacon Breakfast Burger lives in my dreams (a thick beef patty cooked to order with an over easy egg, aged white cheddar, pork belly and maple aioli) and everything I have sample from their menu is fabulous. Imagine my thrill upon learning that Mussel & Burger Bar is offering a Sunday brunch!
Brunch is served from 12:00 to 4:00 on Sundays. The menu, found on the restaurant's facebook page, includes Spanish chorizo and sundried tomato waffles, waffles stuffed with chorizo, sundried tomatoes, and goat cheese, topped with pork belly, poached eggs, berries and maple syrup.
If that doesn't sound amazing enough for you, they also offer breakfast nachos: house pommes frites with melted cheese, short ribs, guacamole, sour cream, and two fried eggs. For a more traditional breakfast you could try their brioche French toast: topped with berries, vanilla mascarpone cheese and a salted caramel sauce.
The restaurant is located at 9200 Taylorsville Road. I strongly suggest you use their call ahead seating at 502-384-4834. Happy Brunching!
