If you're not in the mood to be inundated with basketball all weekend, you should probably swing by Laughing Derby, be cause they have one of the funniest people I've ever known, Tim Northern, headlining all weekend. If you've never seen him it's intelligent, thought provoking humor, that dances a line between child-like wonderment and complete cynicism. In his own words: "I provide you two-thirds of the joke, and you provide the other third. It's like do-it-yourself comedy."
Tim has been a headliner in clubs all over America, going in with his heady comedy and making audiences feel either smarter for getting him, or dumber for not getting him. Either way, no one ever blames him being just too damn smart.
Northern has been featured at The Montreal Just For Laughs Festival, CBS's "Star Search", and coming up later this year he will be seen on NBC's "Last Comic Standing".
The shows are tonight (March 28th) and tomorrow (March 29th). Two shows each night at 7:45 PM & 10PM. Raanan Hershberg and Lucas Murphy are both on the show, as well.
