Superheroes that grow feathers during climax, see the future, and need Prozac during The Sidekicks, a collection of one-acts which Alley Theater will present starting tonight.
The Sidekicks will take place on Apr. 3, 4, 5, 10, and 11 at 10 p.m. each night. All performances are to happen at Alley Theater, located at 633 West Main Street in downtown Louisville.
Tickets for each show are $!5 per person. All tickets can be purchased on the Alley Theater website or, if available, the door.
Superhuman: A Festival of New American Superhero Theater is Alley Theater's foray into a world where heroes are faster than a speeding bullet, can jump higher than skyscrapers, and need Prozac. Wait, what?
The Sidekicks is a group of short plays that focus on the super powers and super personalities. Expect to see a woman growing features during her climax, a superhero that needs Prozac, Jack seeing a surprisingly powerful Jill, and a future-seeing man that no one seems to want to believe.
Each of the shorts are original works that were chosen from the 250 submitted to Alley Theater for the festival.
More information on The Sidekicks and the rest of the Superhuman festival can be found at the Alley Theater website.
