Fans of psychological thrillers, romantic comedies and surprise twists will get what they want in The Carrie Variations, which Alley Theater will world-premiere tonight.

The Carrie Variations will take place March 12 - 14 and 19 - 21 at 7:30 p.m. each night. All performances are to go on at Alley Theater (633 W. Main Street).

Tickets for each show are $15 for adults and $12 for seniors, military members and students. All tickets can be purchased at the door or by going to the Alley Theater website.

Local playwright Vin Morreale Jr. will have the world premiere of The Carrie Variations at the Alley Theater. The performance is essentially three one-act plays, all of which start out the same way. The same people will say the same things in the same place. However, after a few lines and moves, the plays will veer off onto completely different paths. One play will turn into a psychological thriller, one will become a romantic comedy, and one will have a surprise twist.

Martin French directed The Carrie Variations, which features Jay Padilla as Carrie, Jennifer Riddle as Danielle and Ben Unwin as David.

More information on the show can be found at The Alley Theater website.
