Extras on a movie set learn about their culture and how Hollywood portrays it in Stones in His Pockets, a Shoestring Productions show that opens Dec. 15.

Stones in His Pockets will take place on Dec. 15, 16, 17, 29, 30, and Jan. 1 at 7:30 p.m. each night.  All shows will go on at The Alley Theater, located in the Butchertown district at The Pointe, 1205 E. Washington Street

Advance tickets are $15 for general admission, $12 for seniors, and $12 for students.  Day of show tickets are $3 extra.   All advance tickets can be purchased and more information can be found at The Alley Theater website.

Stones in His Pockets focuses on Irish characters who are extras in the filming a historical romance movie.  They fiind themselves in between the Hollywood machine and trying to be Irish.  Lee Look and Doug Sumey act in the production directed by Kathi E.B. Ellis.  Marie Jones created the production.

Alley Theater is currently finishing up a run of The Matrix Live.  That production will run until Dec. 17.
