    Bit to Do

    Gilligan's Island

What was once a fateful trip is now an Alley Theater musical.  Gilligan's Island: The Musical opens on Friday.

Gilligan's Island: The Musical will take place on May 25, 26, 31, June 1, 2, 8, and 9 at 8 p.m. each night.  All performances are to happen at Alley Theater, located in the Butchertown section of Louisville at The Pointe, 1205 E. Washington Street.

Advance tickets for each show are $18 general admission, $16 for students, senior citizens, and military members.  Day of show tickets are $2 extra.  A preview performance on May 24 will be a pay what you can rate.  All tickets can be purchased at the box office or at the Alley Theater website.

Gilligan's Island: The Musical brings back together the favorite characters from the 1960s TV show.  Gilligan and company get lost while on a three-hour tour (a three-hour tour...someone had to say it again).  They attempt, hilariously, to live on and get off the island where they landed.

Sherwood Schwartz and Lloyd Schwartz created the production with musical help from Hope and Laurence Juber.

More information on the show can be found at the Alley Theater website.
