What do you get when you put four of the most lyrical MCs together in a group? One word. SLAUGHTERHOUSE. This four-man rap group represent their name to the fullest, and are heavily known for their creative, witty lyrics, especially on the Internet. Each MC has proven they can stand on their own independently, but become an extreme force as a group. Slaughterhouse consists of Detroit rapper Royce Da 5'9", New Jersey rapper Joe Budden, California rapper Crooked I, and New York rapper Joell Ortiz.

Slaughterhouse will bring their "Our House Tour" to Louisville at Headliners Music Hall on Sunday, April 29th. Doors will open at 8 p.m. and the show will start at 9 p.m. This is an 18 and over event with ID required.

This event will be general admission at a cost of $15. VIP tickets will also be available for $30, which will also include a "Meet and Greet." Both tickets are available and can be purchased at the Slaughterhouse and Headliners Music Hall website. Address and contact info below:

    2012 Slaughterhouse Live Performance

This show will be Slaughterhouse's debut in Louisville as a group. Slaugtherhouse members Royce Da 5'9" and Joe Budden have both performed at Louisville before, but as solo acts.

This past summer, Slaughterhouse recently signed with Hip Hop titan, Eminem's record label, Shady Records, which does wonders for their resume. Slaughterhouse has made use of the world wide web, releasing free mixtapes and freestyles (group and solo projects) available to the public via download, They are currently working on their first debut album as a group under the Shady Records umbrella, "Welcome to: Our House," which is set to release May 15. Also, this past month they released their first album single, "Hammer Dance," available for purchase on iTunes.

    About John Deren

I am currently an intern as a contributing writer at Louisville.com. I'm a current senior at the University of Louisville finishing up a college degree as a Communications Major and plan to graduate in Spring 2012. I also work part time at UPS as a secondary sorter (boring). In my spare time I like to hang out with friends and also write and record music as a Hip Hop artist. Two of my biggest passions and interests are sports and music, especially basketball and Hip Hop music. I am 23 years old and have been living in Louisville basically my whole life and love it!
