There is already an overwhelming excitement in the air when you’re at the Horseshoe Casino, but the Kentucky Derby Festival Spring Fashion Show added an extra dose of electricity on March 29th 2012. As the fashion show attendees entered the main entrance of the casino, they were greeted by vendors and boutique owners that had transformed the area into a fashion mecca.
Cocktails and Hors d'oeuvres were plentiful at the pre-reception and a lovely dinner was served as the show began. Then lights, camera, and fashion! With a roar of the crowd, music pumping and lights shining; the models hit the runway strutting their stuff and getting the crowd excited for the Derby season. The choreography was impeccable, and the music and lights added to sensory overload of colors and sounds- this coupled with the fashions were sure to get anyone excited for the Derby and this year’s fashions.
The Derby Festival Spring Fashion Show featured clothing and accessories by: Dillard’s, Olivia & Co., Crush, Clodhoppers. GUESS, Ann Taylor, Fashion Bug, Rodeo Drive, Apricot Lane, Dress & Dwell, Sunny Daize and more and many more. Some of the Festival’s Official Products will also be featured, including hats by Dillard’s, handbags and accessories by Divas, designer eye wear from The Eye Care Institute, and hair and makeup by Lyndia Willis Salon.
