A bunch of crooked individuals attempt to handle a stranger who may or may not be from this land in The Foreigner, which Shelby County Community Theatre will present this weekend.
The Foreigner will go on Apr. 17, 18, 19, 25, and 26 at 7:30 p.m. each night. A matinee will happen on Apr. 27 at 2:30 p.m. All performances are to take place at Shelby County Community Theatre, located at 801 Main Street in Shelbyville, KY.
Tickets for each show are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors, and $10 for students. Due to limited seating, reservations in advance are highly recommended and can be done by calling 502-633-0242.
The Foreigner features a painfully shy and depressed man who shows up to a rural resort in Georgia. Inside this resort, the characters believe him to be a foreigner who cannot speak English. Charlie, through hearing these conversations, may soon find that the relaxing resort could become something else entirely.
Larry Shue created the production, which Jack Wann directed for Shelby County Community Theatre.
Following The Foreigner, Shelby County Community Theatre will present Steel Magnolias. Auditions will go on Apr. 21 and 22, and the show will go on in June.
