The final hour of a distraught woman's life is showcased in Night, Mother, the newest Upstairs at 801 performance for Shelby County Community Theatre.

Night, Mother performnances will go on Oct. 7 and 8 at 7:30 p.m. each night.  A matinee, meanwhile, will occur on Oct. 9 at 2:30 p.m.  All performances will happen at the Shelby County Community Theatre, located at 801 Main Street in Shelbyville, KY.

Tickets for each show are $15 for adults, $12 for senior citizens, and $10 for students.  Reservations can be made by calling 502-633-0242.  More information on the show can be found at the Shelby County Community Theatre website.

Night, Mother focuses on Jessie, a woman whose life is out of control after her husband walks out and her son follows the wrong life path.  Jessie tells her mother she will commit suicide, forcing her mother to try and talk her out of it.

Night, Mother is part of Shelby County Community Theatre's Upstairs at 801 program, which features special performances of shorter and one-act works.  Following Night, Mother will be the mainstage production in December of The Homecoming.
